Ashley Veronsky is a senior Psychology major with a Cognitive Neuroscience minor.

During her time at Temple University, Veronsky volunteered as a research assistant in Dr. Ingrid Olson's cognitive neuroscience laboratory. More recently, she completed an internship with Mindful Athlete Training under the supervision of Dr. Lee Picariello, a licensed clinical psychologist with a specialization in sport performance. Due to pandemic safety restrictions, Veronsky was not able to work directly with athletes, so she worked on collating research findings from relevant studies involving electroencephalogram (EEG), heart rate variability (HRV), and neuromuscular therapy (NMT) data. Veronsky was appreciative of this opportunity because it enhanced her data analytic and critical-thinking skills. She also noted that our course Conducting Psychological Research, which Veronsky took with Dr. Jill Swirsky, prepared her for this internship through the course's intensive writing requirements.

After completing this internship, Veronsky looks forward to pursuing a career at the intersection of neuroscience and sports psychology.
