We believe that our ever-changing global landscape, where advances in technology and social dynamics occur every day, calls for broadened skill sets, sharp analytical minds and creative solutions to increasingly complex problems. In short, our leaders of the future will possess the skills and attributes that have long defined a liberal arts education. The College of Liberal Arts prides itself on developing informed, socially aware global citizens, equipped with the transferable skills to adapt and keep pace with a rapidly evolving job market. We are a home for curious, courageous and conscientious minds.

Students have the opportunity to explore a wide range of disciplines within the humanities and social sciences, including psychology and neuroscience, criminal justice, political science, philosophy, sociology, anthropology, English and foreign languages. This diversity of study not only exposes students to new ideas and perspectives, it offers them the freedom to find and develop new passions and professional pathways. Courses are taught in smaller, seminar-style settings that encourage students to engage with their classmates and our world-class faculty in meaningful discourse that expands world views and enhances analytical reasoning skills. Students are encouraged to supplement and apply their learning to the world beyond the classroom, whether through community engagement, research opportunities, studying abroad or gaining professional experience through internships.

Our students graduate with well-honed writing and communication skills, and the technological and cultural literacy necessary to thrive in the modern workforce. However, a liberal arts education does more than prepare students for rewarding careers: It prepares them for fulfilling lives as engaged members of the world community.
