The North American Association of Sports Economists presented Professor Peter von Allmen (Temple Economics Ph.D. and Professor Emeritus at Skidmore College) and Professor Michael Leeds with the Larry Hadley Award for service to the field of sports economics.

The organization cited the contribution their textbook, The Economics of Sports (now also featuring Professor Victor Matheson of the College of the Holy Cross as a co-author) has made to the growth of the field of sports economics.
