Congratulations to Vivian Lauver, who received this year's College of Liberal Arts Graduate Student Instructor of Record Award. Lauver is a third-year PhD student in the English department. This award reflects her work with students in ENG 0802 as part of the First Year Writing Program and Temple's signature GenEd curriculum.
Lauver's pedagogy emphasizes a multimodal approach to learning that helps her students practice important literacy skills across a variety of contexts. This multimodal focus reflects her commitment to inclusive learning and supports students in building a strong foundation for their future classes and careers.
Lauver was nominated for this award by her academic advisor, Dr. James Salazar, with support from several other faculty members. Lauver and other faculty and research award honorees were presented with their awards at CLA's 2026 Celebration of Faculty Ceremony on April 1.
