Lauren Alloy, Laura H. Carnell Professor of Psychology & Neuroscience and Principal Investigator of the Mood and Cognition Lab at Temple University, has been selected as a recipient of the 2025 American Psychology Foundation Gold Medal Award for Impact in Psychology. Established in 1953, the APF is a philanthropic organization dedicated to the advancement of psychological research that prioritizes people and their well-being. Its flagship award, the Gold Medal, recognizes the work of a psychologist or group of psychologists that is impactful, innovative and transformational. Alloy will be recognized alongside the other 2025 Gold Medalists in the July/August issue of American Psychologist and presented with a plaque at the 2025 APF Impact Reception in Denver, CO this summer. The College of Liberal Arts congratulates Dr. Alloy for this tremendous achievement.
