Temple University and the National Park Service are again recruiting for the ProRanger Program. Through this program, recruits are eligible for non-competitive hiring status for a federal position with the National Park Service. As we all know, there are no guarantees in life, but this program boasts a 100  placement rate for students who successfully complete the program.

Students spend their summers in paid internships at national parks across the U.S. from Virgin Islands National Park in St. John to Yosemite National Park in California. Temple students intern in battlefields like Gettsyburg and Antietam  in urban centers like Santa Monica, Boston and Philadelphia  and on seashores and rivers like Fire Island National Seashore, Buffalo National River and Ozark Scenic Riverways. The National Park Service has an exclusive partnership program with Temple University that offers students paid summer internships and eligibility for non-competitive hiring as a protection ranger after graduation and completion of program requirements. Rangers' duties include detection, investigation and apprehension of persons responsible for criminal activity as well as protecting parks  natural and cultural resources, educating the public and providing public safety services.
