SaraGrace Stefan is a PhD candidate in the English department studying the American gothic literary mode as it relates to gender and race. She likes to say that she is professionally interested in spooky women, and is specifically considering the works of Shirley Jackson, Jesmyn Ward, and Ottessa Moshfegh. 

SaraGrace's dissertation considers how the three authors use their texts to respectively rework societal norms regarding domesticity, femininity, and motherhood.

During her time at Temple, SaraGrace has completed her Teaching in Higher Education Certificate as well as her Cultural Analytics Certificate, along with working as a Graduate Research Assistant in the Loretta C. Duckworth Scholars Studio in Charles Library.
