Emerson Woody (he/him) is a PhD student and teaching assistant in the Sociology department. He received his BA in Sociology and Leadership & Social Innovation with a minor in Medical Social Sciences and graduated summa cum laude from Rowan University.

Emerson's research is focused on medical sociology, specifically regarding medical organizations and work, health professions education, and patient experience. He is currently serving as a research assistant with the Center for Humanism at the Cooper Medical School at Rowan University.
