Biography

Christie McGuire Villarreal has broad research interests, including topics such as military tactics, class conflicts, and subversive literature. She has taught Ancient Greek and Latin, as well as courses in ancient religions, military history, political regime changes and resistance to imperialism, and the daily lives of the Greeks and Romans. In the summer, she works at Cosa Excavations in Italy. She is currently working on the inscriptions found at Cosa's bath for the forthcoming book on the site, as well as revising her dissertation for publication.
