Yunming Jia is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Criminal Justice at Temple University. Her research interests include juvenile delinquency and victimization, developmental and life-course criminology, narrative criminology, and the psychosocial processes underlying offending and desistance. Broadly, her research seeks to understand how individual development and social experiences interact to shape involvement in crime and pathways toward desistance, with particular attention to how individuals understand themselves, interpret their experiences, and translate these understandings into behavioral change.

Outside of academia, Yunming enjoys gaming, sports, exploring new places, and spending time with her cats.
