Sussan is a PhD candidate in the Political Science Department, studying Middle East politics. Her research interests include identity politics, policy reforms, and political motivations. She is currently working on a dissertation about the motivations behind the gender reform policies in Saudi Arabia. 

She has a BA with honors in Political Science from Temple University and an MA in Political Science from Villanova University.
