Souradeep is a 2nd-year graduate student studying Comparative Politics, with his secondary subfield being International Relations. He has an undergraduate degree in Economics from St. Xavier's College, Mumbai, and a Master's degree in Development Studies from Tata Institute of Social Sciences also located in Mumbai. Souradeep's primary research focus is on elections, electoral administration, and migrant voters. 

Before his time at Temple, Souradeep has worked with the Election Commission on India on various research projects related to the electoral participation of internal migrants, money power in elections, and electoral integrity.
