Sarah DeLucca is a fifth-year PhD student from Poughkeepsie, NY. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Marist College with a BS in Criminal Justice and went on to earn her MA in Criminal Justice with a specialization in Criminology and Deviance at John Jay College of Criminal Justice. During her undergraduate studies, she interned with several agencies such as the Dutchess County Office of Probation and Community Corrections and with Humane Law Enforcement at the Dutchess County SPCA. Sarah has also served as an Academic Advisor and a part-time faculty member teaching Corrections and Criminology at Marist College.

She presented her work "Predicting Initiation to Treatment for Youth on Probation: A Multi-Level Approach" at the 2020 Addictions Health Services Research (AHSR) Conference and received recognition for having a top-rated abstract. She has also presented several times at the American Society of Criminology (ASC) conferences. More recently, she published a paper in the journal Drug and Alcohol Dependence examining treatment initiation for juveniles on probation. She is currently a research assistant to Dr. Belenko working on a project to improve linkages to substance use treatment in the Philadelphia community.

Her research interests include substance use treatment, treatment initiation, corrections, probation and parole, and reentry.
