My research engages three big things: air pollution, climate change and health. I have focused on spatio-temporal intra-urban variability of ambient air pollution and its impacts on human health in Colombia. One area of particular interest for me is the implications of long-range transport of air pollutants, with a special emphasis on the influence of North South-America’s wildfires in air quality related to particulate matter in the Aburra Valley, Colombia. Additionally, I am interested in exploring the synergistic relationship between air pollution and climate change and how this interplay influences public health.
