I am a PhD candidate and instructor in the Department of Philosophy at Temple University. My dissertation focuses on Hegel’s theory of comedy and how it points to a social and political awareness in his understanding of art. My research interests include nineteenth-century German philosophy, aesthetics, and social & political philosophy. I also have a growing interest in ethics and social epistemology.
I have years of experience as an editor, non-profit program coordinator, and teacher. I hold certificates in Gender, Sexuality, and Women Studies and Teaching in Higher Education as well as teaching awards from the Department of Philosophy (2018) and the College of Liberal Arts (2019) at Temple. Most recently, I was a research fellow at the Center for Humanities at Temple (2020-2021).
