Megan Mohler has a BA in Psychology and Comparative Studies from the Ohio State University and a Master’s degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice from Portland State University. Her past research has looked at how media consumption influences public perception of police legitimacy. She has also worked in the field assessing compliance with police reform measures. Within the department, she contributed to a research project examining the impacts of progressive prosecution policies. Her current interests focus on understanding the nature of social problems. Recently, she has published a study examining the influence of spirituality on binge drinking. Her dissertation is aimed at understanding substance abuse and mechanisms of behavior change within a life course perspective.
