Lydia Orr (she/her) is a PhD Student and University Fellow in the Department of Sociology at Temple University. She graduated magna cum laude from Boston College with a degree in International Studies and minors in Eastern European Studies and Ethics and Social Justice. She has a Masters in the Art of Teaching from Relay Graduate School of Education and a Masters of Public Administration from the Fels Institute of Government at the University of Pennsylvania. Her research interests include poverty, inequality, and the variety of institutions and policies that impact these experiences, particularly in urban environments. Her current project is looking at the role of the public library as a form of social infrastructure.
