Louis Walee is a doctoral student in the Department of Africology and African American Studies (AAAS) at Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Born to an African descendent family in his hometown of Cleveland, Ohio, Walee is interested in crafting emancipatory knowledge that will help African people gain a stronger understanding of their lived and historical experiences as African people in America and elsewhere. His research interests include African metaphysics and ancient indigenous African science and art. Essentially, Walee is most interested in discerning how ancient African systems of knowledge can benefit people of African descent living today.
