Jennifer N. Stanley is a PhD student in the department of Criminal Justice. She received her BA in Criminal Justice from Temple University in 2013 and her MS in Criminal Justice from Saint Joseph’s University in 2015. During her educational tenure thus far, Jennifer has engaged in research projects in areas such as juvenile justice, in-prison substance use treatment, improving linkages to medication for opioid use disorder (MOUD) for individuals on probation, and drug courts. Jennifer is currently working on her dissertation assessing treatment and justice-related outcomes among individuals in prison with co-occurring opioid use and mental health disorders. Furthermore, she has published papers in two reputable journals, Criminal Justice and Behavior and The Prison Journal and has presented at several academic conferences. Jennifer has also served as an adjunct and faculty of instruction in Criminal Justice at Rider University and Rowan University and teaches summer classes at Temple University. Her current research interests are public health and criminal justice, particularly substance use treatment and mental health, and developmental and life course criminology.
