Hope Dove is a PhD student and Teaching Assistant at Temple University’s Department of Africology and African American Studies; she holds an MA in Postcolonial Culture and Global Policy from University of London, Goldsmiths, and a BSc (Hons) in Psychology from London Southbank University. She also studied Sociology at Lincoln University in Pennsylvania and Social and Cultural Psychology at the London School of Economics and Political Science. Her key interests are the construction of ‘race’ and its cultural and psychological implications throughout societies including racism, identity, and developing the theory of recognition within an Afrocentric conceptual framework.
