Hannah K. Steinman is an advanced doctoral student in the Department of Criminal Justice at Temple University. Her research focuses on environmental criminology, crime and place, spatial risk analysis, GIS, quantitative methodology, and the intersection of public health, policing, and criminal justice. She is particularly interested in how the built environment and place-based conditions shape patterns of crime and risk. Hannah is also a Research Analyst at CAP Index, where her work bridges academic research and applied practice, using data to support informed, place-based decision-making in public safety and crime prevention.
