Elysia is a PhD student specializing in Historical Archaeology. She received her B.A. from Bard College in 2010 and continued her post-graduate training at UPenn. Elysia’s doctoral research investigates the formation of Afro-Anguillan identity, and the social networks of enslaved laborers at the Hughes Estate, an 18th-19th century sugar plantation in Anguilla, BWI.
