Chris is embarking on his journey as a Ph.D. student this year. He graduated with a B.A. in English and Spanish with departmental honors from Dickinson College. He also completed an M.A. in Spanish with a literature concentration through Middlebury College. He has studied internationally in both Spain and Argentina. For more than a decade, Chris has served as a public-school educator, instructing Spanish to beginning learners as well as students enrolled in Advanced Placement and the International Baccalaureate Programme. Presently, Chris’s academic interests include literary theory, cultural studies, the history of print and literacy, and the roles of imperialism and globalization in the shaping of modern Spain and the Americas.
