Elementary, Intermediate, Italian, Italian-American

Biography

I am passionate about language acquisition as a means to broaden horizons, increase critical thinking skills, and become culturally competent. I enjoy facilitating learning through fun activities that mirror real life situations and create broader community. I have been teaching Italian at Temple since 2012. My passion for Italian language was initially stoked by ancestral origins, however my love of Italian language, culture, history, and literature has grown through study, travel, and of course, instruction! Research interests include medieval, renaissance, and modern literature, art, and architecture, paganism, herbal folklore, intersectionality, and social movements. In my free time, I love being with family and friends, reading, gardening, cooking, and going to the beach.
