Biography
Juliette Bellacosa received her PhD in Italian Studies from the University of Pennsylvania. She teaches Italian language and Visual Studies at the undergraduate level. Her research examines the interactions between cinematic and pictorial modes of spectatorial engagement in new media adaptations, while her scholarly interests include Renaissance Art, Cinema and Media Studies, and Adaptation Studies. Bellacosa has published in the Journal of Italian Cinema & Media Studies and is co-editor of the peer-reviewed journal Bibliotheca Dantesca. She has presented papers at the Modern Languages Association Convention, the Society for Cinema and Media Studies conference, and at the Northeast Modern Languages conference, among others.
