Biography
Heather Lewis-Weber is the Director of Community Engagement at the College of Liberal Arts at Temple University. A proponent of asset-based, community-centric, and trauma-informed frameworks, Heather has fifteen years of experience supporting community, youth, and young adult development with a special interest in historically disinvested neighborhoods. Through various roles in the nonprofit and education sectors, she has facilitated school-community partnerships, led the design and implementation of in- and out-of-school time youth programs, and supported student-driven engagement projects at the undergraduate level. In her current role, Heather serves as Co-Founder and Co-Director of the CLA Translation Institute, and functions as Executive Director of the University Community Collaborative. A native of the Bronx, NY, she holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Haverford College.
