Biography

Cate Almon has taught in the First Year Writing Program since 2014 and is currently the Associate Director of the program. Previously, she spent a few years teaching academic English preparation and running a test center in Johannesburg, South Africa. She earned her Doctorate in Education from the TESOL Department at Temple University. Her research interests include student retention, the construct of plagiarism, and language assessment, particularly with regard to English Language Learners.
