Welcome to the Temple Latinx/Hispanic Heritage Month’s webpage! From September 16th through October 15th, the College of Liberal Arts will team with several other Temple campus partners for a university-wide celebration of Latinx/Hispanic Heritage Month. This year’s events will not only honor the history and contributions of the Latinx/Hispanic communities but also recognize its diverse range of cultures.

Weaving Plastic Bags Workshop
This is a hands-on event where we will be weaving plastic bags and creating sleeping mats for those facing house insecurities. Scissors and plastic bags will be provided, and participants are welcomed to join us for as little as ten minutes or spend the full hour immersed in a fun service community initiative. The sleeping mats produced during this event will be donated to a Latin Women's Shelter such as Casa Del Carmen. Check out the Temple story on The Sleeping Mat Project with founding alumni Dr. Bev Weinberg.
