CLA Promotes Diversity and Anti-Bias

Senior Alexa Gingerich didn’t let the fear of trying something she’d never done before or the intimidation of fierce competition stop her from pitching her sustainability idea. Good thing she didn’t. The Italian major became one of the finalists for the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Institute’s 21st Annual Innovative Idea Competition.
Amir Issaa was born and raised in Italy, but because his father was an immigrant, he couldn’t become an Italian citizen until he was 18. As part of his U.S. tour, Issaa performed at Temple University and engaged students about his fight to change Italian citizenship law.
