Congratulations to Temple philosophy PhD candidate Eli Benjamin who has accepted a post-doc position at the Edmond & Lily Safra Center for Ethics at Tel Aviv University. He will be joining their research cohort for the 2026–2027 academic year as part of the Center’s project on "The Challenges of Democracy."

Under this project, Eli will conduct his research on "Political (Dis)Trust and its Challenges to Democracy," in which he will scale his relational framework of trust, developed in his dissertation, to the political domain.

The Center offers grants to outstanding researchers who study the challenges facing democratic regimes worldwide (political, economic, social, and environmental) and the two fundamental pillars – rights and institutions – that work together to bolster democracy.
