Danicia Malone, PhD student and Creative Director
Beginning May 6, the Temple Contemporary gallery (part of the Tyler School of Art and Architecture) will present Spaces of Encounter, a new exhibition by Danicia Malone, (Creative Direction and Research) a PhD student in the Geography, Environment and Urban Studies Department.
The exhibition, co-sponsored by The Center for Sustainable Communities and the Department of Geography, Environment, and Urban Studies, explores public spaces across North and Latin America and the Caribbean through the lens of public art. What does public space ask the body to believe about safety, care and belonging? Who is welcomed in shared spaces? Who isn’t?
An opening reception will be held on May 9 from 2-5PM. Learn more and register to attend at the event page.
