Kristin Burt, CLA '23 | Family Program Prevention Specialist -Child and Family Focus
I am so excited to announce that I have landed my dream job with the company I interned with this past semester. Through the Temple Internship Fair, I found and registered for the fall internship course with Child and Family Focus in Montgomery County. Through my internship, I gained experience in my field of academic study, psychology, and at the end of the semester applied for a job with them. I got two job offers with Child and Family Focus and have accepted the one that most closely aligns with my future goals to become a licensed family therapist and parenting skills educator. My job title is Family Program Prevention Specialist and I start this February! I owe it to the opportunities afforded me by Temple's Internship program and the support of my professor and advisors in the Careers in Psychology course.
Oh, did I mention, I am a mature student going to college for the first time and making a huge career shift?! Thank you Temple U.!
