Biography

Yat-Ching Yeung is a PhD candidate in Religion at Temple University. Her research focuses on Tibetan Buddhist philosophy, especially issues in epistemology and philosophy of mind that intersect with Buddhist soteriology. She holds a BA and an MPhil in Philosophy from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. She also completed the Translator Training Program in Tibetan interpreting at Rangjung Yeshe Institute in Nepal, supported by the Khyentse Foundation’s Translation Studies Scholarship. Her dissertation explores the theory of perception in Gyaltsab Dharma Rinchen’s (1364–1432) Complete Explanation of the Treasury of Epistemology, a commentary on Sakya Paṇḍita Kunga Gyeltsen’s (1182–1251) Treasury of Epistemology.
