I'm a PhD candidate and University Fellow in the Sociology Department. I also have an MA in Sociology (2024), an MPP in Public Policy (2022), and a BA in Sociology (2020).
My main research areas are medical sociology and population science, specifically immigrant and minority health, health disparities, and social determinants of health. I'm interested in how marginalized populations "weather" (both suffer and resist) health deterioration through physiological stress response mechanisms. I've served as a TA at TempleSoc, RA at Temple's Med School, and RA at Temple CPH.
In the PhD summer of 2024, I tragically discovered that I developed a cat allergy as an adult, despite having lived peacefully with my roommate's cat in college.
