Fariha is a PhD Candidate in the Department of Political Science. Her dissertation focuses on the logic of state-sponsored violence. Other areas of research include terrorism, conflict and gender. 

Fariha is also completing her Certificate in Gender, Sexuality and Women's Studies at Temple University and holds an MA in Government from American University.

Additionally, she is currently the Assistant Director for the Center for the Humanities at Temple and Assistant Editor for Theatre Journal.
