I am a PhD student at Temple University with a BA in Art History from the University of Florida, and an MA in Philosophy from The New School for Social Research. I study the representation of nature in art, how beauty is understood in and expressed by each, and the relationship between the aesthetic experience of the two. I address these questions, and how they bear more broadly on aesthetics and the philosophy of art, through the lens of the Frankfurt School, with a focus on the work of Theodor W. Adorno, his philosophical influences, and those who wrestle with his thought today.
