After earning her BA in Political Science with a minor in Spanish Language and Literature from the University of Hawai'i at Manoa in Spring 2021, Kerrigan moved to West Philly to pursue a doctorate in Political Science at Temple University. Kerrigan's research focuses on comparative state and local politics in the US. Her current work explores how political actors are adapting to an influx of disruptive changes within the American food system.
Her work has been presented at several conferences, including the Race, Ethnicity, and Place (REP) Conference, the Midwest Political Science Association (MPSA) Annual Meeting, and the American Political Science Association (APSA) Annual Meeting.
Kerrigan advanced to candidacy in Winter 2024.
