Norm Roessler received his Ph.D. in German Languages & Literatures from the University of Pennsylvania. His research interests include German and American Theater, Brecht, Nietzsche, New Media/Digital Humanities, and Critical Pedagogy. He has published numerous theater reviews in various academic and popular journals of productions in Berlin, New York, Philadelphia, and Boston. Roessler edits Communications, the performance journal of the International Brecht Society, and wrote the new introductions for the Penguin Classics reissues of Brecht's plays Mother Courage, The Good Person of Szechwan, The Threepenny Opera, and Life of Galileo. He characterizes his approach to teaching Mosaic as "Cyberpunk," that is, the integration of dialogic, performative, and new media pedagogical strategies in order to create a dynamic MosaiX classroom.
