Toree A. Weaver is a determined and passionate woman in the field of communications who uses her creative background to develop engaging scripts, detailed articles, innovative strategies. She received her BA in Journalism at Temple University in spring 2019. She has trained in the art of dance for 20 years and prides herself on using her discipline in dance to bring color to the black and white world of writing. Following her graduation, Toree moved to Los Angeles where she wrote for numerous media outlets and created social strategies for several individuals. Her desire to continue her education in Africology and African American Studies was birthed from the unfortunate incidents in the summer of 2020. As one of the few Black writers on her team, she felt an obligation to seek guided research in order to adequately and responsibly tell the stories of African Americans. After graduating from the program, Toree hopes to continue writing articles and other forms of literature.
