Biography

Janet Fishman first studied acting in Paris, where she performed and toured with a French troupe. In the USA she has created, performed and toured two adaptations: THE OLIVE LAKE A Chinese Fairy Tale; and THREE SHORT STORIES by Isaac Bashevis Singer. Her first play, At Home in the World premiered with two readings at The University of the Arts. She has taught French at many area universities, and has also led many acting and playwriting workshops. She is currently organizing a reading of her second play, about a traveling theatre company in France. Janet has a B.A. in Comparative Literature from Brandeis University, and an M.A. In theatre from Villanova University.
