Danielle Macon is a PhD candidate in the Department of Africology and African American Studies at Temple University. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Afroamerican and African studies from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor in 2015.  In 2017, she received her Master’s degree in Africology from Temple University.  Macon is the recipient of the Stephen P. Couvillion (2017) and Innovative Studies (2021) awards.  Her research includes African sexuality/eroticism, African American Music, and Popular Culture/Media.
