Biography
Ariella Werden-Greenfield is the Associate Director of Temple University’s Myer and Rosaline Feinstein Center for American Jewish History and cofounder of Temple’s Jewish professional internship program. She received her B.A. from Skidmore College and her Ph.D. from Temple University. Ariella has served in leadership positions in nonprofits and higher education for over a decade. Her scholarship centers on popular music and religion in the Americas, an academic interest that translates into her passion for curating arts-based public programming. She is coeditor of Phish and Jews: This is Your Song Too (Penn State University Press, forthcoming, 2022). Her writing also appears in Religion in Philadelphia: A Reader (University of Chicago Press, 2016), Savoring Gotham: A Food Lover’s Companion to New York City (Oxford University Press, 2015), Religion, and The Journal of Contemporary Thought.
