Kyle McDonald is a doctoral student in sociology at Temple University. He graduated with a B.A. in Sociology from Drexel University in 2022. At Drexel, he worked as a research assistant in The PLACE Lab on sacrifice zones in Southeast Chicago. He received his M.A. in Sociology from Temple University in 2024. He currently works as a teaching assistant at Temple in classes that include Introduction to Sociology, Ethnicity & the Immigrant Experience in the U.S., and Statistical Methods in Sociology. His research focuses on immigration, legal status, and the U.S.-Mexico border. His Second-Year Paper was titled, "Onward and Upward: Legal Status and Onward Mexican Migration Away from a Newly Militarized Border, 1995-2000."
