First-year Admissions Help

Applying to college for the first time can seem daunting. Let us make it simpler for you.

Wondering what a FAFSA is (financial aid), whether or not you need to submit standardized test scores (it’s optional), what our campus life is like (urban, diverse and engaging), or have other application questions? Don’t worry. We’ll get you answers.

If you’re a first-year student (attending the College of Liberal Arts after high school, secondary school or GED completion), head to Temple University’s admissions page for first-year students.

There, you’ll find information on how to apply to Temple University via the Common Application, including a full breakdown of important dates for applying, application criteria, scholarship details and Temple Admissions staff contact information.

Soon after you submit your Common Application, you will receive an Undergraduate Applicant Portal activation email, where you can track the status of your application and submit any requirements to complete your application. The undergraduate applicant portal is also where you can make any necessary changes to your account and connect directly with Undergraduate Admissions.

The first-year student application guide has answers to everything you need to know—including the stuff you didn’t even know you needed to know just yet!
