What do a New York Times film critic, a Pulitzer Prize-winning author and an expert in urban policy have in common? They'll all be visitors to the College of Liberal Arts this month.

The college's April programming will kick off with the Featherman Lecture on Public Policy by Dr. Peter Dreier, as he discusses thinking and organizing in the Trump era and beyond. The Department of History's series on plunder—which began with Ta-Nehisi Coates' talk last semester—continues on April 20 with a visit by A.O. Scott of the New York Times. Scott will examine film, aesthetics and plunder in Hollywood.

Later this month, Jhumpa Lahiri, winner of the 2000 Pulitzer Prize for fiction, will read from her first non-fiction book and facilitate a conversation about translation, the relationship between language and belonging, and more.

All events are free and open to the public, although the talks by A.O. Scott and Jhumpa Lahiri require advance registration.
