This past year, Criminal Justice Professor Steven Belenko, in collaboration with faculty at Lincoln University, led the development of a curriculum to train promising undergraduates and graduates in aspects of health research.

Three Lincoln University students, under the guidance of various mentors, conducted their own research projects while also observing Temple University's TRUST Clinic's efforts to combat the ongoing opioid crisis. Through the internship program, which will have additional student cycles over the course of the project, students develop the knowledge, attitudes and competencies needed to be competitive in a global economy and to have a positive impact on their families, their communities, the nation and the world.
