Bachelor of Arts in Religion at Temple

If you’re interested in working in education, environmental policy, finance, health care or for nonprofit groups, consider a major or minor in Religion. A BA in Religion degree provides you with a range of immediately useful skills that will help you navigate these areas and more. The Religion major only has 30 required credits, and our entry courses regularly overlap with subjects in other areas of study. Our courses are often cross-listed with Anthropology, Greek and Roman Classics, critical languages, English, History and Sociology.

Many students find that with only a few additional courses they can add Religion as a second major, or minor in Religion as a complement to their primary field of study. The minor in Religion is an excellent addition to the degree programs in the College of Liberal Arts or other colleges throughout Temple University. If you have an interest in world history and providing sensitive patient care, minoring in Religion will be especially helpful.

Tuition and Fees

For more than 130 years, we have focused on providing a world-class education at an affordable price. Just compare Temple to other universities and see what we mean. Temple tuition rates vary by college or school (the College of Liberal Arts does NOT charge any additional fees on top of the university’s base rate), residency status, student level and more. Use the Temple Tuition Calculator to estimate your tuition rate.

Undergraduate Tuition

No Added Tuition Costs. That’s the promise the College of Liberal Arts makes (and keeps) to all of our incoming students. We know deciding to attend college is a big one, both in life and financially, so we're committed to keeping costs down. We're one of only three schools/colleges at Temple University that do not charge a tuition differential, so what you see is what you pay. Our priority is helping you graduate with less student debt.

We understand that, at this phase, you are weighing all your options, and you should be! It's crucial to find the right fit for YOU and YOUR PASSIONS.
