Greek and Roman Classics
Explore Classical Languages, Literature and Civilizations
Eta Sigma Phi
Eta Sigma Phi is the national honorary collegiate society for students of Latin and/or Greek.
Greek and Roman Classics students are encouraged to study abroad particularly at Temple Rome.
Recent majors have gone on to law school, veterinary school, graduate school, business careers, and teaching.
The Department of Greek and Roman Classics is the vibrant home to a host of dedicated faculty members and engaging undergraduate majors. Both of our program options offer a sound liberal arts background — skills in critical thinking, reading and expressing oneself fluently and with cultural sophistication — that prepares students for success in any career. They select from two major concentrations based on their interests and goals:
- Classical Civilizations
- Classical Languages and Literature
We are daring, ambitious, creative thinkers. Simultaneously civic-minded and globally conscious, our students and faculty are engaged in the community and care about our world.
From lectures to film screenings to networking opportunities with some of the region's biggest employers, events at the College of Liberal Arts are designed to support your life's work.
