Global Studies Program
The world is increasingly globalized, with goods, services, people and ideas traveling across borders more often (and more quickly) than ever before, at the same time that challenges of inequality, poverty, and climate change become more intense. Temple University College of Liberal Arts’ interdisciplinary Global Studies program features an undergraduate major and minor to educate students about these critical processes and issues. The program brings together over a dozen fields of study, focusing on global culture, economy, and security. The major is further complemented by intensive foreign language instruction, unique study abroad experiences and internships to prepare our students for their global careers.
Many students choose to double-major with departments like political science, economics, anthropology, history, geography, Latin American Studies, and foreign languages, especially Spanish.
