The Department of Religion and Ancient Mediterranean Studies (RAMS) offers a full range of undergraduate degrees in two distinct but interrelated disciplines: Ancient Greek and Roman Studies and Religion. Our department is a vibrant community of faculty and students passionate about Greco-Roman antiquity, religious traditions through the ages and how both continue to shape our culture and daily lives today.
Our students work closely with faculty in small class settings, unraveling thousands of years of human history. We offer a full complement of exciting clubs, lectures and experiential learning experiences opportunities. Our department stands out for student success, both while at Temple and after graduation.
